Calgary Rowing ClubCRC Junior Programยป Parents! Child Fitness Tax CreditThe Child Fitness tax credit is now available to parents who enroll their children in a qualifying program. Participation in youth rowing qualify for the Children's Fitness Tax Credit, The CRC Junior program satisfies the criteria, but unfortunately or Youth Camps do not. Any costs charged for accommodation, travel, food, or beverages at regattas do not qualify for the credit.
Receipts can be issued that parents can use for tax purposes. Amounts paid in 2006 do not qualify, but amounts paid in 2007 do.
Please email CRC if you have not received a receipt for fees paid in 2007.
More information about this credit can be found at the following link: The CRC Junior Program offers rowers aged 13 to 18 a chance to have fun in a challenging competitive environment. Athletes prepare for competition at local (Calgary, Edmonton), Prairie (Regina), Coastal (Victoria), and National regattas (St Catharines, On). Athletes enjoy training in varied boats, from singles, to pairs, quads, and eights. The emphasis is on skills development. Core practice times are Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:45-6:00pm, and Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00am, although many athletes preparing for high level competition will find themselves training almost daily. There is room for a wide range of aspirations and commitments within the program. |
