CRC Membership Terms

The Calgary Rowing Club is committed to the following fee structure for the membership year 2008/2009. Our mission is to provide a year round facility with high quality equipment, management, coaching, and safety that is accessible to all annual members. We will provide programs and events that cater to every level of involvement, from casual to competitive.

Definitions

Coxswain: member who actively participates and competes only as a coxswain.

Annual: May 1 to April 30 of the following year.

PFD: Personal Floatation Device.

* "In-transit" - Out-of-town students only here for the summer, or Calgary students here May-Aug then leaving for school.

* Annual members are required to work four bingos OR pay a $300 Bingo Waiver fee. If a member chooses to work bingos, four undated bingo commitment cheques of $150 are required. Additional bingos worked over the four required will result in one point per extra bingo worked. One point = $50 and can be used toward future membership fees, regatta expenses and/or CRC merchandise. Points have no cash value and can only be applied to the above mentioned services/products. This membership will be pro-rated should you register after May.]

Monthly members are required to work one spring bingo.

- All members are solely responsible for owning and possessing a PFD while rowing. They can be purchased at Wholesale Sports.

- Regatta entry fees will be the responsibility of those individuals interested in competing and are collected by managers and coaches prior to regattas.
