Note that the two-day Camps 3 and 4 have been condensed into a full week camp. (Camp 3)

Coaches will teach the youth all about rowing. From boat handling techniques to on the water rowing sessions, our coaches will teach our charges what it is like to be a rower.

The week long camps are broken down into an orientation session, rowing sessions and off-water sessions.

Orientation Session

During this hour the coaches will cover the basics of the sport. Safety rules, boat handling techniques, boat components and common rowing terminology will be covered.

Rowing Sessions

Each day, the youth will have three to four hours of rowing time (weather and water conditions permitting).

Off-Water Sessions

Rowing is also about dry land training. Our coaches will teach them about the different aspects of dry land training. From team games to relay races on the rowing machines, dry land training centers on developing conditioning while having fun!

The Summer Splash Regatta

The week ends off with the Summer Splash Regatta. The kids will have their chance to show off their rowing skills as they race down our 1500m course for a chance to win the coveted Slurpee Cup!

* Camps #8 and #9 are advanced camps geared for thos athletes with prior camp experience. They are great preparation for entry into the CRC Junior Program.
